Visit Disneyland Resort: MagicBand+

Not too many people had  MagicBand+  at Disneyland Resort, from what I noticed, but that didn't stop us from getting them.   You can use the MagicBand+ to scan into the entry gates or scan your Lightning Lane passes.  No need to take out your phone and open up the Disneyland app or your photos app for a screenshot of your admission ticket or Lightning Lane pass.  It's easy to sync the MagicBand+ to everyone in your party through the Disneyland app. It's rechargeable, and one full charge is supposed to last 1-3 days, but we'd charge them at the end of each night. Another fun thing about the MagicBand+ is that it'll blink and flash in all sorts of colors depending on where you are, whether at certain rides or shows.  You can also use to link PhotoPass photos and other experiences. It's totally not a necessary thing to have, but it's a nice-to-have for the convenience.   One thing I did read prior to getting them is that they have a tende...

Visit Disneyland Resort: Disney California Adventure

When we visited Disney California Adventure Park, we couldn't wait to take the boys on many of the rides as well as watch the World of Color show.

As expected, the park wasn't that crowded, so most of the rides had little or no wait at all.

The longest line we had to wait in was for the World of Color show.

If you're planning on watching the World of Color show, you'll actually be able to go in to get your FASTPASS half-an-hour before the park actually opens, and you can start standing in line to find your spot for the show an hour before the designated time on your FASTPASS ticket.

We were the second bunch of people in line, and once we were allowed to secure our viewing spots (the Cast Members advise not to run, so people just walked very quickly to find spots), we found a decent one despite a lamp post being in most of our shots.  We could have gone down one level lower, but we didn't want to get wet.

It was a really nice show!

Although California Adventure was not festively decorated like how Disneyland was (there was a huge Christmas tree, but not much else), we still had a blast (the boys loved Toy Story Mania!, and my personal favorite was Turtle Talk with Crush), and we can't wait to go back and visit Cars Land once it opens!
