Visit Disneyland Resort: MagicBand+

Not too many people had  MagicBand+  at Disneyland Resort, from what I noticed, but that didn't stop us from getting them.   You can use the MagicBand+ to scan into the entry gates or scan your Lightning Lane passes.  No need to take out your phone and open up the Disneyland app or your photos app for a screenshot of your admission ticket or Lightning Lane pass.  It's easy to sync the MagicBand+ to everyone in your party through the Disneyland app. It's rechargeable, and one full charge is supposed to last 1-3 days, but we'd charge them at the end of each night. Another fun thing about the MagicBand+ is that it'll blink and flash in all sorts of colors depending on where you are, whether at certain rides or shows.  You can also use to link PhotoPass photos and other experiences. It's totally not a necessary thing to have, but it's a nice-to-have for the convenience.   One thing I did read prior to getting them is that they have a tende...

Kalahari Resorts - Where the Spirit of Africa Comes Alive in the Pocono Mountains at Pennsylvania’s Largest Indoor Waterpark

This summer the authentic African-themed Kalahari Resorts & Conventions opens in the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania. The company’s grandest resort to-date melds the thrills and adventure of Africa with the ultimate all-under-one-roof family vacation destination. Recently named the “World’s Coolest Indoor Water Parks by Condé Nast Traveler, the Pocono location will be home to a 100,000 square foot waterpark, more than 450 rooms, 30,000 sq. ft. Family Entertainment Center, 100,000 sq. ft. Convention Center, Spa Kalahari and more.

All of this perfectly located in the Tristate area, 1 hour from New York, 2 hours from Philadelphia, and 2 hours from Harrisburg.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions was built by a family for families. In 2014 the Nelson Family, owners of Kalahari Resorts, set out on a “One World” tour travelling 24,752 miles, in 6 countries over 23 days to bring home the magic of Africa to their guests.

Kalahari Resorts and Conventions isn’t your typical resort – its authentically African theme is designed to bring families together, and that isn’t just a marketing ploy. The spirit of Africa is reflected in every aspect of Kalahari – from the handpicked Rwandan coffee beans that are brewed on-property, handcrafted artwork on the convention center walls, furniture placed in guest rooms, recorded music from the streets of Cape Town echoing in the resorts and original crafts for guest souvenirs. It’s all part of Kalahari’s commitment to bring guests a beyond-expectations experience.

This philosophy is something guests will find emulated throughout Kalahari Resorts and in each of the properties located in: Wisconsin Dells; Sandusky, Ohio; and the Pocono Mountains, opening July 1, 2015. It is the driving force behind everything the “World’s Coolest Indoor Water Park” does.

Kalahari Resorts and Conventions deliver a “world away” waterpark resort and conference experience. It is home to America’s Largest Indoor Waterparks, and the all-under-one-roof resorts feature well-appointed guest rooms, award-winning signature restaurants, family entertainment centers, state-of-the-art conference centers, fitness centers, unique retail shops and the full-service Spa Kalahari.
