Visit Disneyland Resort: MagicBand+

Not too many people had  MagicBand+  at Disneyland Resort, from what I noticed, but that didn't stop us from getting them.   You can use the MagicBand+ to scan into the entry gates or scan your Lightning Lane passes.  No need to take out your phone and open up the Disneyland app or your photos app for a screenshot of your admission ticket or Lightning Lane pass.  It's easy to sync the MagicBand+ to everyone in your party through the Disneyland app. It's rechargeable, and one full charge is supposed to last 1-3 days, but we'd charge them at the end of each night. American Cruise Lines Launches Newest Mississippi Riverboat "America"

American Cruise Lines announced the successful launching of its newest paddlewheeler "America" three weeks ahead of schedule.  "America" is being built for the Mississippi River at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland. The launching, which took place this morning, was picture perfect.  Immediately after being launched seamlessly, tugboats skillfully nudged the new riverboat into Chesapeake Shipbuilding’s East Outfitting Basin where the upper decks and outfitting will be completed.

The launching comes just a few weeks after the joining of the two hull sections.  With the installation of the upper decks, the new riverboat will come together quickly, and upon completion will be the third new riverboat built for the Mississippi River by American Cruise Lines.  Construction of the new "Queen of the Mississippi" is also underway and is slated for delivery in 2017.

The newest paddlewheeler "America", will have a capacity of 185 passengers and will introduce features never before seen on a riverboat.  American built, American flagged and American crewed, this new vessel symbolizes the true all-American experience provided by American Cruise Lines.  It is scheduled to begin navigating the Mississippi River and its tributaries next spring.
