American Cruise Lines Introduces the “American Pride” to the Columbia and Snake Rivers

American Cruise Lines, largest operator of small cruise ships in the United States including three of the newest boats operating on American rivers, announced the American Pride will be joining the Queen of the West in the Pacific Northwest on the Columbia and Snake Rivers in 2016.

The repositioning of American Pride is the latest in a series of recent and exciting announcements made by American Cruise Lines regarding the growth and expansion of the award winning cruise company. The 150 passenger American Pride, built by American Cruise Lines only three years ago, has been operating as the leading cruise ship on the Mississippi River. To meet the high demand for cruising on the Columbia and Snake Rivers, this authentic paddlewheeler has been renamed American Pride and will be moved to the Pacific Northwest to offer 7 to 10 day cruises beginning April 2, 2016. The American Pride will be replaced on the Mississippi River by the larger America in 2016 which is currently being completed at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland.

American Cruise Lines’ reputation for outstanding service is clearly exemplified on the American Pride where thoughtful and attentive crew invite guests to feel right at home in an intimately crafted onboard setting. World-class chefs create regional and traditional American cuisine made with sustainable and locally sourced ingredients for guests to enjoy daily in the comfortably elegant dining room. Programs lead by renowned experts in the fields of history, nature and culture share their knowledge and passion for the region’s best kept treasures further enriching the guests’ journey. The extraordinary standard of excellence provided by an all American crew and staff create a uniquely personalized journey for all guests onboard the American Pride.

American Cruise Lines continues to set the standard in both service and amenities available to guests. The American Pride boasts the largest, most well-appointed staterooms providing an unprecedented level of comfort never before available on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. All suites offer expansive views of the Columbia River Gorge’s lush landscapes, volcanic awe of Mount St. Helens and brilliance of Multnomah Falls from anywhere within the stateroom. American Pride’s beautifully furnished, large private balconies are the perfect setting to enjoy room service while taking in the history and culture of this epic route pioneered by Lewis and Clark over 200 years ago. An abundant selection of all-inclusive onboard amenities including finely styled mahogany clad lounges, complimentary cocktail hours and locally celebrated musicians weave the signature experience of American Cruise Lines throughout the ship.

American Pride’s schedule has been announced and is currently accepting reservations for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
