Visit Disneyland Resort: MagicBand+

  Not too many people had  MagicBand+  at Disneyland Resort, from what I noticed, but that didn't stop us from getting them.   You can use the MagicBand+ to scan into the entry gates or scan your Lightning Lane passes.  No need to take out your phone and open up the Disneyland app or your photos app for a screenshot of your admission ticket or Lightning Lane pass.  It's easy to sync the MagicBand+ to everyone in your party through the Disneyland app. It's rechargeable, and one full charge is supposed to last 1-3 days, but we'd charge them at the end of each night. Another fun thing about the MagicBand+ is that it'll blink and flash in all sorts of colors depending on where you are, whether at certain rides or shows.  You can also use to link PhotoPass photos and other experiences. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Debuts Aloft in Louisville

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has opened the 175-room Aloft Louisville Downtown. The Louisville, KY-based property is owned by Poe Companies, REI Development and White Lodging, and managed by White Lodging Services Corporation.

Located on the city’s Whiskey Row, Aloft Louisville Downtown is located near the Kentucky International Convention Center, the KFC YUM! Center, the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience and the Frazier History Museum. The hotel also provides access to Churchill Downs, Fourth Street Live!, Actors Theatre of Louisville, the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts and the art galleries, boutiques and restaurants of the NuLu district.

Hotel facilities include a 24-hour gym; 2,750 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space; re:fuel at Aloft—a gourmet, grab & go F&B area; and Corner Restaurant & Bar, the hotel’s cocktail bar and eatery featuring more than 60 bourbon selections.

“The opening of the Aloft Hotel in downtown Louisville is an exciting part of the nearly 2,000 new rooms coming to the market in anticipation of the expansion of the Kentucky International Convention Center,” said Karen Williams, president and CEO of Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau. “In addition, from a leisure standpoint, its opening is perfectly timed for the resurgence of Whiskey Row and our growing urban Bourbon experience.”
