Galápago-ers will explore sheltered coves and interact in the pristine waters with sea lions, penguins and dolphins.
cazenove + loyd has arranged special access to conservationists of the Zoological Society of London and researchers at the Charles Darwin Research Station. The naturalist guides on board are the best in the Galápagos Islands, with senior research fellow Dr. Malcolm Nicoll onboard to lead informal discussions and insightful lectures.
The itinerary will take guests through ten picturesque Galápagos islands, for a voyage filled with remarkable experiences. Check out a few of our favorite destinations below:
1. San Cristobal Island
Cerro Brujo is known for being the first place in the archipelago that Charles Darwin visited. Expect a wide variety of wildlife and fauna in the island's gorgeous ecosystem. The optional hike to Pitt Point has a view so spectacular, it will be worth every step.
2. Española Island
Gardner Bay is a nesting site for sea turtles and home to one of the most important colonies of sea lions in the archipelago. Afterward, travelers will visit Punta Suarez for another opportunity to see Nazca and blue-footed boobies.
3. Isabela Island
Elizabeth Bay is one of the most eastern points of the Galápagos visited on this trip. There, guests will have a chance to mingle with sea turtles, rays and herons when exploring the sheltered coves. To the west at Moreno Point, there are more seabirds than one can imagine and the chance to hike through lava rock leading to secluded tide pools and mangroves, rife with wildlife.
4. Mosquera Islet
Before departing the Galápagos, travelers will visit this tiny islet between the Baltra and North Seymour Islands. It is a coveted destination for it is home to a large population of sea lions and shorebirds. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and orcas!
