Madame Tussauds Las Vegas welcomes the newest addition to its sin city wax family, Grumpy Cat! Want to get up close and personal with the world’s grumpiest cat? From May 23-31, 2016 guests can enter a pet photo contest for a chance to win a family 4-pack of tickets to Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, plus a merchandise gift bag. To enter, one must simply post a photo with his or her furry friend to Instagram using #GrumpyVegas.
In December, Grumpy Cat frowned her way to California to reveal her animatronic likeness at Madame Tussauds San Francisco. “I can’t believe this is happening,” said Grumpy Cat of her reveal, “This is absolutely awful.”
Going from Reddit rumor to widespread memetic fame, Grumpy Cat remains one of the Internet’s most beloved celebrities, and is the first cat in Madame Tussauds history to be immortalized. Grumpy Cat’s animatronic has several movements. It is also the first mechanical figure made by Madame Tussauds in over a century. Las Vegas is one stop on Grumpy’s journey as the animatronic will travel to the other Madame Tussauds locations across the U.S.
