Hampton Inn in the Historic Chicago Motor Club Offers End of Summer "Road Trip" Package

With the end of summer in sight, and travelers hitting the highways to visit their final destinations for Summer 2016, Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/N Loop/Michigan Ave, 68 E. Wacker Place, invites road-trippers to make a pit stop at the historic Art Deco hotel with a special “Road Trip Package.” Aptly located in the historic Chicago Motor Club building, featuring a showcase 1928 Ford Model A on display, and just steps from the Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park and the Theater District, Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/N Loop/Michigan Ave serves as a perfect hub for an overnight stop or a week-long destination.

Guests booking the “Road Trip Package”, starting at $159 per night (based on availability), will be welcomed with a special road trip bag upon arrival. The bag includes 1928 Ford Model A Luggage tags, a postcard of the 1928 Ford Model A for mailing to friends and family back home and a roadmap to maneuver around the city complete with a road trip snack! The package is rounded out with an overnight stay in one of the hotel’s premiere guestrooms, including one of the featured historic rooms (based on availability) and a tour of the preserved historic elements of the newly renovated hotel, including a sneak peek for a photo op with the famous 1928 Ford Model A in the lobby.

Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/N Loop/Michigan Ave opened in May 2015, featuring a grand, three-story Art Deco lobby, a 67-seat 1920’s-style cocktail bar, and intricate architectural details throughout the property. It features historic Chicago Motor Club elements left intact throughout the building, including the 29-foot mural of popular road destinations, designed by John Warner Norton, making it a perfect destination for road-trippers of all ages this spring and summer.

Guests can book by calling 312-994-1986 and mentioning the End of Summer “Road Trip Package”.

Standing 17-stories high, Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown/N Loop/Michigan Ave features 143 guestrooms, each featuring complimentary WiFi, a 42-inch flat-screen HDTV, an ergonomic desk and a coffeemaker. The LEED Certified hotel offers guests state-of-the-art cardio equipment in the 24-hour fitness center, a 24-hour business center, and two versatile meeting rooms with the latest A/V technology.

Known as one of Chicago’s finest Art Deco-style skyscrapers, the former Chicago Motor Club building was completed within 265 days in 1928. More than just a social and sporting group, the Chicago Motor Club wielded power in advocating for city improvements, including the widening of North Michigan, the installation of a public parking garage in Grant Park, and the transformation of Wacker Drive into a double-decker motorway.
