Abilene's Western Heritage Classic May 10 - 13, 2018

The 34th annual Western Heritage Classic gallops into Abilene, Texas, May 10 -13, 2018.

The internationally recognized event is held at the Taylor County Expo Center and showcases cowboy lifestyle at its finest and most authentic, right down to the chuck wagon cook off, where participants are judged not only on the flavor of their grub but also on period equipment.

The weekend’s highlight is the Ranch Rodeo in which some of the largest and most historic ranches in the country compete in various skill categories. Young cowboys and cowgirls can join in on the fun with the Stickhorse Rodeo and Steer Dummy Roping.

And “shopportunities” abound at the Heritage Trading Post or Bit & Spur Show. Other weekend events include live music, a parade, the chuck wagon cook off and cowboy poetry readings. For schedule and ticket information please visit www.westernheritageclassic.com
