Visit Catalina Island: Lloyd's of Avalon

Of course we stopped to get some ice cream while on Catalina Island.  We ended up at Lloyd's of Avalon , where one of the employees told us they source the ice cream from various vendors (so it's not housemade). Cookie Monster Mocha Almond Fudge Bubble Gum Honey Churro I had the Honey Churro, which was a little too sweet for my liking. Everyone else loved the ice cream flavors they chose, however. Visit Big Island: Smash Daddy's

We had a work event on the West side of the Big Island and had to pick up lunch for the team.  We decided to get lunch from Smash Daddy's at the Waikoloa Plaza.

The Dubs
The Dubs consists of 2 brisket blend patties with American cheese.  You can customize it (Smash sauce, grilled onions, lettuce, pickles are no extra charge).  It comes with fries (or you can sub with Onion Rings).

I don't eat burgers, but everyone who ate it said it was one of the best, if not the best, Smash Burger they ever tasted.  They said it was so crispy and caramelized and juicy - just so delicious!

Kalo Burger

I had the Kalo Burger and added bacon.  It was really tasty and didn't easily fall apart like other kalo burgers I've had elsewhere.  

Smash Daddy's is definitely a new fave in Waikoloa!
