Visit Catalina Island: Lloyd's of Avalon

Of course we stopped to get some ice cream while on Catalina Island.  We ended up at Lloyd's of Avalon , where one of the employees told us they source the ice cream from various vendors (so it's not housemade). Cookie Monster Mocha Almond Fudge Bubble Gum Honey Churro I had the Honey Churro, which was a little too sweet for my liking. Everyone else loved the ice cream flavors they chose, however. KTA Bakery Cookies


I saw these packages of bakery cookies at KTA, so I decided to buy some for the kids and see if they were any good or not.

I thought it was a nice deal for bakery cookies - over 2 dozen cookies for $7.99.  They were good in taste - not the best, but not the worst.  The chocolate chip cookie was on the softer side, and the M&M's was on the crispier side.  

The kids liked them, but to make them last longer and make the cookies even better, I decided to buy some vanilla ice cream and sandwich it between the cookies, and they were such a hit.  The kids absolutely loved them.
You could also crush them and mix them into the ice cream or use them for other desserts.
