Visit Catalina Island: Lloyd's of Avalon

Of course we stopped to get some ice cream while on Catalina Island.  We ended up at Lloyd's of Avalon , where one of the employees told us they source the ice cream from various vendors (so it's not housemade). Cookie Monster Mocha Almond Fudge Bubble Gum Honey Churro I had the Honey Churro, which was a little too sweet for my liking. Everyone else loved the ice cream flavors they chose, however. Visit Osaka: 551 Horai

While in Osaka, we'd pass by several 551 Horai spots, and the line was frequently long. Intrigued, I spotted one at Osaka station, so I got some butaman.
551 Horai is a chain throughout Osaka where the butaman, or minced pork filled steamed buns, are a best seller (similar to our local manapua). 

They were super tasty on their own, or you can add the spicy mustard that they give you in packets for a nice kick.

They also sell shumai and dumplings.

Locations all throughout Osaka (we also went to one in Hankyu).
