Visit San Diego: Mr. Moto Pizza

Mr. Moto Pizza is a Cali chain that serves up all sorts of pizzas, as well as stuffed knots. I decided to grab a Pepperoni Jalapeno Ranch stuffed knot.   At just $4, it was huge, and it was a meal in itself. It was essentially like a pizza, but stuffed in a garlic knot. Definitely hope to try the pizzas one day! Mr. Moto Pizza 879 W Harbor Dr San Diego, CA 92101

Juliet's Birthday Between Wine and Love-Letters

Verona and Cavaion Veronese - September 5th and 6th 2015
A wine tasting and love-letters for Juliet’s birthday. On September 5th and 6th the italian winery Gerardo Cesari, based in Verona province, will host an event to celebrate Giulietta Capuleti, the female protagonist of the most famous romance in the world. Juliet’s Drop is the name of the tasting that will be held in these two days, from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm, in the winery located in Cavaion Veronese. In this unique occasion the most famous wines of the area, like Amarone and Lugana, will be matched with words of love. Gerardo Cesari, in fact, is home to Juliet’s Club the association of volunteers that replies to thousands of love-letters arriving from all the world and addressed to Shakespeare’s heroine.

While tasting Lugana Cento Filari, the guests will listen the words of Amber, sent from Australia, about betrayal and new hopes. The letter of Beth (South Africa) will recall the joy of a returning love through the notes of Ripasso Bosan. Lastly, the story of Tracey (USA), emphasized by Amarone Bosan, will talk about the eternal strength of love.

In the same days Juliet’s birthday will be celebrated in the whole Verona province. A good occasion to visit the center of the city where the love story of Romeo and Juliet grew and burned: Signori square and Mercato Vecchio square will host the celebrations organised by Juliet’s Club, during wich Cesari wines will be served.

The birthday of Juliet was dated back to the beginning of September 1284 by the achademic Giuseppe Franco Viviani, according to the novel of Luigi Da Porto who at the end of the 15th century, before Shakespeare, wrote the troubled story of the two lovers. In the book, the author tells that Juliet would have reached 18 years old in the day of Saint Eufemia. Using astronomic and archive calculation, Giuseppe Franco Viviani discovered the “birth date” of Juliet.
