Visit San Diego: Mr. Moto Pizza

Mr. Moto Pizza is a Cali chain that serves up all sorts of pizzas, as well as stuffed knots. I decided to grab a Pepperoni Jalapeno Ranch stuffed knot.   At just $4, it was huge, and it was a meal in itself. It was essentially like a pizza, but stuffed in a garlic knot. Definitely hope to try the pizzas one day! Mr. Moto Pizza 879 W Harbor Dr San Diego, CA 92101

Visit Maui: Momona Bakery and Coffee Shop

I've been wanting to stop at Momona Bakery and Coffee Shop for some time now, but my Maui trips were always too short!  I finally got a chance to try it on our most recent visit.

Located in the former Sip Me building, the place was packed when we arrived around 11am on a Friday.  The line was long, and I saw people getting dropped off via shuttle vans with luggage in tow.  I heard some people in line say they've never seen it that busy before, so it could have been an anomaly.

In any case, we waited patiently in line and ordered:

Chocolate-Covered Alfajores
The Alfajores is a sandwich-filled cookie.  They had several varieties, and my son took the last chocolate-covered one.
Cinnamon Roll

Pastry Cream Medialuna

Nutella Medialuna

Medialuna's are a type of Argentinian croissant.  They were enormous and came with all sorts of fillings!

Brownie

I'm not much of a pastry person, and if we didn't have plans to go to lunch after, I would have ordered the cheesecake, but I ended up with a Brownie.

It was more dense than cakey (which I was happy about), and quite fudgy.  I could only finish less than half because it was just so chocolaty and rich (and I savored the remaining for dessert later that evening).

Everyone else devoured their treats!

Momona also offers savory sandwiches, so you can have lunch there too!

Definitely check out Momona Bakery and Coffee Shop for a sweet fix!
